Mummy and Daddy are going camping with a few friends in Albany this weekend. It's Australia day on Tuesday so all of us slackers have decided to take Monday off work and turn the weekend into an extra long one!! So how about the 5 kids??? Mummy and Daddy have enlisted Godparents Lamer and Amandapanda to babysit. Lamer and Amandapanda have been very kind to agree to this. Hard to find such dedicated Godparents willing to wake up early and feed two fluffies scratching at their door at 5am in the morning. Also not to forget the three rascalls outside the house that start barking and chasing each other around the garden at 6am! Good thing they have breakfast manners ;) Anyways, finishing off an over night shift now.. Hoepfully my boss doesn't think he's paying me to blog! It was a busy night again.. Emergencies and not so emergencies through that door. Off to Albany soon wheee the adventure begins. Praying that the thunderstorms would be held OFF. Yes did I not mention? Thunderstorms forcasted for the next 3 days down South. Brrrrrrrrr..... Have fun lamer n lameress! We owe you one! PICTURES TO COME I PROMISE!!

How can we see a man's spirit How can we tell his soul is well When all we see is smiles and laughter While inside's a living hell
How far should our hands stretch To what extend should we care Were we meant to stand and watch While apart his life our friend tears
Alone is the path we all must take Alone many burdens/trials we withhold Assurance in while we still not understand "It is always well with my soul."

After all the laughter, after all the tears After all the dinner parties at home After all the handshakes and hugs and love There's a sudden realisation that i am truely alone.

Along the road of life I have a Friend divine Who walks with me And gently leads the way He gives me joy and Makes the darkest night to shine It is my Lord Who won my heart one day
I do not mind The rough and winding pathway O'er mountain steep And valley dark and cold It is enough to know He travels by my side along the road That leads to streets of gold
For many years, I did not know His love so true, until I found How on the cross He died; I trusted Him & He became my Savior too. And since that day, He's journeyed by my side

Too much water, too much sun Destroyed before growth had begun Too much soil, not enough rain Fleeting happiness now comes enduring pain Foolish action followed not what had been said And now my daffodil is dead.

Laugh, and the world laughs with you; Weep, and you weep alone, For sad old earth must borrow its mirth, But has trouble enough of its own. Sing, and the hills will answer; Sigh, it is lost on the air, The echoes bound to a joyful sound, But shrink from voicing care.
Rejoice, and men will seek you; Grieve, and they turn and go. They want full measure of all your pleasure. But they do not need your woe. Be glad, and your friends are many; Be sad, and you lose them all--- There are none to decline your nectar'd wine, But alone you must drink life's gall.
Feast, and your halls are crowded; Fast, and the world goes by. Succeed and give, and it helps you live, But no man can help you die. There is room in the halls of pleasure For a large and lordly train, But one by one we must all file on Through the narrow aisles of pain.

Teach us, good Lord, to serve thee as thou deservest To give and not to count the cost To fight and not to heed the wounds To toil and not to seek for rest To labour and not to ask for any reward Save that of knowing we do thy will Through Jesus Christ our Lord Amen

The Yellow Daffodail Outside My Door
I have a yellow Daffodil outside my door She greets me each morn, each night she bids me well All my love and affection on this Daffodil I pour All my tears and laughter to my little pal
The funny thing about this Daffodil, still outside my door Is that not many people know about She and me Come and see my Daffodil, to my friends I implore How Bright and Beautiful she is, only then you’ll see
I’ve thought of moving her in, from outside my door To be my centre piece, for my pleasure alone Sadly she started to loose colour, wither and fall Then I realised, her beauty was not for me to own
So I moved her back, to her place outside my door Slowing and relucting, each step hurting my painful heart I gave her back to the world where people her light could reach more There she’ll grow and thrive, from her destiny she will not depart
I will miss her colour, her light, her warm smile But I rest in the comfort that she has met her call No matter how far apart we’ll be, she always be My yellow Daffodil outside my door

You'll never knowingly suffer at my hands. I'll never knowingly say or do anything to hurt you. I'll always, in every circumstance, seek to help and support you. If you're down and I can lift you, I'll do that. If you need something and I have it, I'll share it with you. If I need to, I'll give it to you. No matter what I find out about you, no matter what happens in the future - either good or bad - my commitment to you will never change.
And there's nothing you can do about it!

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens; Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with strings These are a few of my favorite things
Cream-colored ponies and crisp apple strudels Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes Silver-white winters that melt into springs These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites When the bee stings When I'm feeling sad I simply remember my favorite things And then I don't feel so bad

I don't know about tomorrow, I just live from day to day. I don't borrow from it's sunshine, For it's skies may turn to gray. I don't worry o'er the future, For I know what Jesus said, And today I'll walk beside Him, For He knows what is ahead.
Many things about tomorrow, I don't seem to understand; But I know Who holds tomorrow, And I know Who holds my hand.
Ev'ry step is getting brighter, As the golden stairs I climb; Ev'ry burden's getting lighter; Ev'ry cloud is silver lined. There the sun is always shining, There no tear will dim the eyes, At the ending of the rainbow, Where the mountains touch the sky.
I don't know about tomorrow, It may bring me poverty; But the One Who feeds the sparrow, Is the One Who stands by me. And the path that be my portion, May be through the flame or flood, But His presence goes before me, And I'm covered with His blood.

What is this life if, full of care We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass, Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight, Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance, And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare.
- William Henry Davies (1871-1940).

Strange is the way of a creature in love He knows not the way of reason or truth She hides in shadows of doubt and grey Ever so hesitant to make its move

The sun creeps from her hiding place Colour seeps across the horizon The clouds like hand-woven lace Shadows fade into oblivation
The striking rays start to pierce the sky Waking the flowers from sleep to bloom Life and hope start to emerge Warmth and Love take away my gloom
The wind carries with it the newness of day The air is filled with expectation The now glaring sun blinds by eyes While my heart senses rejuvenation
This is the day that the Lord has made I will rejoice, be glad and celebrate For each new morn He diligently recreates The wonder and mystery of life – this world He made!
